Test Your Geek Chic Results
March 31st, 2006
NEWSWEEK, this week, has a full page "Geek" test. I scored 64. What does this mean? The key on the page indicates: "60+: Seriously nerdy" — and there you have it. You can take the quiz yourself.

Neat quiz and a bit fun to take. Though, this quiz is very pop culture geekie and doesn’t necessairly represent real geekieness. Some of the geekiest guys I know would only score a 30 on this. Same with some of the best tech guys.
This quiz is more of a pop culture geek thing and even goes outside geek. The pictures on your cell phone are now with the non-geek. A majority of people under 30 have digital music. These kinds of things don’t signify a geek. Now, if you understand how email works, can debate between BSD and Linux, and know what the ogg vorbis music format is…. then you are on your way to being a real geek.
I scored a 40 and I am an IT Manager. My brother scores a 64. Something isn’t right!
