    concerning crucifixes etc — the real danger lies not in the external — but what lies in the heart ( as CHRIST pointed out numerous times ) and what JOHN was warning us about ( beware of idols ) any thing that we love more than GOD — in our hearts is an idol — which of course is what the great commandment is all about — and why very few christians want to discuss it — so they spend lives focused on the second — fully convinced they are in a state of obedience with GOD — interesting how many can simply ignore something that CHRIST said was so important that he evan recited it word for word — several times ken
