Somebody sent this to me and told me it was a Lutheran Advent Calendar.

To be historically correct, that is not a Lutheran advent calendar. It’s proper name is the
“Luthermelancthonamsdorf Advent Calender”. The original was much larger. It consisted of kegs of Wittenberg beer and was 12′ high and 24′ wide, all set into a mahogany frame with hinged doors, The numbers were painted in a german script by Cranach the Younger.
Only thing not right about it is that it doesn’t have scotch and gin in it.
At least it’s “Pils” the calendar makers have their priorities right.
I only have one comment. OK, more accurately, a question… Uhm, where can I get one of these treasures? : )
