I am to cling to Christ alone; He has taught neither too much nor too little. He has taught me to know God the Father, has revealed Himself to me, and has also acquainted me with the Holy Spirit. He has also taught me how to live and how to die and has told me what to hope for. What more do I want?

Could something be said about the content and/or length of sermons from this Luther quote?
McCain: It is a quote from a sermon that Luther delivered on the Gospel of John and the sermon was probably 45 minutes to an hour long.

Christ is the context and content of every doctrine and passage of Scripture. One can preach on any text or doctrine and still preach Christ in with and under the text and doctrine preached.

That is right but oh boy, what a treat nevertheless to have 45 mins of nothing but Jesus and His Cross, I can not get enough ;-)
McCain: As Luther said, we have a lot of fine Easter preachers, but not as many good Pentecost preachers. Antinomianism is not Biblical, and therefore, not Lutheran.
