Evolution Proved False Once and For All

OK, so…we are supposed to be evolving and we are also supposed to be the superior specie on the planet, having reached this pinnacle of perfection after millions of years of evolution. I think this one story disproves evolution.

Because he survived, this man will only be eligible for an “honorable mention” at the Darwin Awards site. The Darwin Awards are given for those who remove themselves prematurely from the gene pool by doing things such as this.
Poor snake. Bad human, bad!
An astute evolutionist would no doubt argue that that modern civilization has provided a safety net allowing many of the stupid ones to avoid being naturally ‘deselected’ However, severe stupidity would nullify the effect.
I’m not sure what this proves or disproves about evolution. One could argue that man has so evolved that we have protected ourselves against our own stupidity. The guy lived, after all.
This incident does definitively demonstrate that alcohol and testosterone are a dangerous and stupidifying combination.
