Now this is BIG news.
We Macintosh users have been waiting, hopeful and watching, for the advent of LOGOS for Macintosh. It is here! It is here, and…the really big "wow" factor here is that apparently it will work just fine with all our existing Libronix library files, which means….we won’t have to shell out for all the libraries we have in the PC version. If I’m not reading the materials on the web site correctly, let me know, but that’s how I’m understanding this comment:

Q: How do I get the Mac version of my book files?

A: There
is no Mac version of Libronix books. Both the Windows version and the
Mac version of Libronix read the same .lbxlls files. You will need to
transfer them to your Mac by using your original DVD and CD media, an
external hard drive or USB flash drive, or some other method.

Download the public beta test version here.

Download a movie of it here (no sound).

Now I have no reason to amaze my Windoz friends by using Parallels to speedily open up Luther’s Works in Windows on my Mac. Oh well!

I can’t seem to get any of my resources unlocked in this beta version. Any suggestions from anyone???

The resources magically all became unlocked today! Works great!!! One thing I noticed, however, is that the copy and paste feature does not automatically provide a citation footnote. Does anyone know of a way to turn this feature on?
    McCain remark:
You might want to download “Thunderbird” and follow the LOGOS newsgroup on this alpha test. I reported this problem there. Not much use if you can’t quote it and get reference information in the paste. I’m sure they are working on that.

I’ve been waiting for this alpha for a couple of years now and I’m so pumped that I’m actually considering purchasing a windows version just so I can participate in the tests even though I think I’ll have to pay an additional fee to purchase the mac version when it goes gold. Ahh well…. Money well spent.
