Why I Can Not, and Will Not, Support Obama
September 4th, 2008
I can't knowingly cast a vote for a man who can not come to the defense of the most helpless of our fellow citizens. When Obama was asked when life begins, he could only answer, "That's a
question above my pay grade." Nobody has to ask Sarah Palin. She knows. She proved it. She didn't
murder her unborn son with Down's syndrome.

Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol definitely is way beyond Barack Obama … she, even though she conceived her child prior to wedlock, knows that the unborn baby is entitled to the right of life. I am sure it was difficult for the Palin family to “parade” their family difficulties in front of the world … perhaps it will wake up our baby-killing country to the sanctity of life, regardless of its potential handicaps or “illegitimacy.” “All things work together for the good of those who love God” (Romans 8:28).
“Our family has the same ups and downs as any other… the same challenges and the same joys.
Sometimes even the greatest joys bring challenge. And children with special needs inspire a special love.”
I was just listening to NPR characterizing Gov. Palin as a “staunch conservative” and on NPR it sounded bad. “Staunch: 1. firm or steadfast in principle, adherence, loyalty, etc., as a person: a staunch Republican; a staunch friend.” “Staunch” sounds admirable. It seems to me that “staunch” is usually used in regards to a “conservative”, even in a dictionary! But it does not seem to be used much as in, “staunch liberal”? Hmmmm. Maybe it is the principle outside of us(the Word) that keeps one “staunch”, steadfast, finally…even in the midst of adversity, as in Gov. Palin…but for Sen. Obama, the only principle is himself, his “paygrade”, after all, “we are the ones we have been waiting for”.
What a precious photograph this is! And it speaks volumes. This is all that matters isn’t it, when it comes down to it: who will protect life?
Not only is “above my pay grade” a cop-out, it’s no excuse for being in favor of abortion. Here’s the deal. If you do know when life begins and it’s at conception, then it’s murder plan and simple. If you don’t, then it’s at least potentially murder. Therefore shouldn’t a person who has suspended judgment say “better safe than sorry, I don’t want to promote murder- even if I’m not certain if it’s murder”?
