Pocket Concordia
You may recall a few months ago I did a survey asking you to let me
know if you would be interested in a “pocket size” edition of the
Lutheran Confessions. The response was a resounding YES. And
so…..here you go. Coming soon, in the New Year.
Concordia: The Lutheran Confessions: Pocket Edition
This edition presents all the official texts of the Book of Concord,
plus three appendixes of historic Lutheran writings, a "Book of Concord
Reading Guide," a Scripture index, and a subject index. It is only the
texts of the Confessions, sans all the notes, pictures, introductions,
etc. And, believe it or not, the type size is not super tiny!
The
standard for whether or not it would be a “pocket edition” was my
colleague’s Rev. Ben Mayes ability to put it into his sport coat's outside
pocket. With that standard in mind, this qualifies, at 6×4 inches, and a tad over an inch thick.
Read more about it here and place your order. If your congregation
orders ten or more copies you can get it for only $10.99 otherwise, it
is $14.99.

Great. Can’t wait to get this. Would be great to fit in my briefcase. Any thoughts of making this available for iphone? What about the treasury of prayer for the iphone? Sometimes I use the Book of Common Prayer which is available for iphone. Keep up the great job at CPH.
I second Todd’s comments. You have a distribution method already set up through apple and a world wide audience. Imagine the audience you would have!
Yeah… apple takes a cut. So what… you already have the product done. You just need to find a developer. Talk to the guys at CSL. They have some students working on iPhone apps.
Ordered my copy this morning. Will complement my use with TDP, since portability is important for me. Also be quite useful for Bible studies and the rest. Keep up the excellent work.
CPH keeps coming out with such great books, I am going to have to get a seperate book bag for all of it; Treasury, Bible, Pastoral Care, and now TBC pocket edition. This doesn’t count what I lug around for work already, daily planner, Federal Code, Federal Regulations. Maybe I need a cart for all this?
No wonder my shoulder is lopp sided and I lean to one side.

You timing is a bit off: can you imagine the joy of waking up Christmas morning to find a Pocket Concordia in your stocking! Oh well, it just means the gift giving seasons extends a bit longer for me.
This is great!
