Sure, it is called The Lutheran Difference and it provides precisely what you are asking for: a good, lay-friendly doctrinal theology, with a view toward what other churches teach on the various doctrinal topics presented. It should be out by this November or so.

Pastor, can you give us hint as to what will be the next volume added to TELL? Maybe a laymans 3 Volume Dogmatics??? Pieper & Mueller are a little too much for me

It is a volume in TELL, but will only be available in the regular hardback edition, no leather editions.

I’ve been greatly blessed by the logos version of The Lutheran Confession, The Lutheran Study Bible. I would like to see Walther’s Law/Gospel in electronic version too.
Also, are there more concordia commentaries in the pipe line? Like Gospel of John, Mark, Romans, etc.

As a layman and father of 5, I’ve found this book particularly helpful in raising children, disciplining them and extending forgiveness. A very practical book.
