Not all pastors are suited to doing digital medium. So, before you start tapping your mike and pouring guilt on such pastors please review what it means to be Lutheran. Some are gifted in that area, but that is not every pastor’s gift. Above all the Holy Spirit is growing the church by means of all pastor’s regardless of their ability with digital medium. I have the technical skill to record and post a video, but I doubt it would stand out; that is not my gift.
There is zero excuse for pastors not using Facebook and other social media. If they feel “guilty” about not using it, maybe they should. A pastor does not have to some kind of whiz-bang media producer, but using the basic tools of social media should be in his toolbox of skills.
So young people are going to drive VWs again because they are relatively cheap and wired with apps? I dunno. They might drive the family car now and then because they flocked back to the empty nest.
@ptmccain
I have no guilt about not using Facebook. It is too unsecure for my taste. And I hate to have to block a friend for inappropriate posting to my wall. I had to do it once. I don’t want to have to do it again. It left a bad taste in my mouth. So be careful before accusing me. More than that I see nowhere in God’s Word that I am commanded to use Facebook.
Gary, honestly, brother, for a guy who “has no guilt” you are sure terribly defensive! Goodness.
