Not a good idea.
They are recalcitrant beasts at the best of times.
Put one in an enclosed space with loud music and lots of people and you’re asking for trouble.
What were they thinking? Oh, they weren’t. Camels belong in stables, in pastures, in barns, but not in houses, and certainly not in the house of God. Of course, maybe their goal was to get on national TV news – they accomplished that.
Not to mention have certain natural functions occur in church…
I was in a church that had a live donkey for one nativity play. Big mistake! It decided to relieve itself right down front in the sanctuary during a dress rehersal. The stench was so bad that practice was cancelled.
No matter how long I live, I will never get over what people will do thinking that they are impressive. Anyone have any idea where this took place?
