PrayNow – The Best App for a Robust Prayer and Devotional Life
Do you know about PrayNow, the only Lutheran prayer and devotional app available for the Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod? No, you say? Well, let me introduce you to it. And, let me also assure Droid folks that we are working on a Droid version of it, which we anticipate releasing later this year. I continue to bump into folks on the Internet who have not heard of PrayNow and they are delighted to discover it. It is such a wonderful tool for daily prayer. And, for only $8.99, it offers you a wealth of content, for the entire year, with multiple choices for daily orders of prayers and an abundant treasure of daily readings in the Psalms, OT and NT, with a devotional writing from a pastor or other Christian teacher and theologian through the ages. You can buy it from the iTunes store.

Good news for Android! Thank you!
I got PrayNow back in December and have used it nearly every day. It has been a great treasure for my family and me.

I love PrayNow on my iPad and iPod…glad to hear that CPH is working on an Android version as well. Magnificent news!
Any plans to develop it for Blackberry? I have a Torch (9800)
Nope, sorry, that’s not a large enough app market for us to invest in, at this point.
Thank you for the Android app!
I have Pray Now on my iPhone and iPad. It’s so convenient, opening automatically to the proper day. The price is a small one to pay to have on both iPhone and iPad. Try it. I think you will really like it.
I am a recent iPad convertee. I have been using the Treasury of Daily Prayer for family devotions for a while now. Now, with PrayNow, I can carry almost the same content (minus the newer prayer services) around with me all the time.
I ask for but one thing be added (or rather two things): the Catechism and the Augsburg Confession.
We won’t be adding more content, but…with the cool multitasking functionality now in iOS you can put an icon on your home page and go instantly to a web site where you can get those texts: http://www.bookofconcord.org
Barry, as the BlackBerry PlayBook is rumored to be able to run Android apps in the near future, I could see the PlayBook running PrayNow.
Looking forward to that Android app. I’ve had my MyTouch 4g from T-Mobile now for a few weeks, love it, and have loaded some favorite free apps. Haven’t found many that I can’t live without unless I paid for them, so PrayNow will probably be my first app purchase!
