If you are not aware of this great resource, I highly encourage you to check out PrayNow, the comprehensive daily prayer app for the iPhone/iPad/iTouch, available from Apple’s iTune store. We released a significant update to it on May 17, and, in response to customer requests, we put in additional orders of daily prayer. So, now, in addition to Matins, Vespers and Compline, PrayNow offers you the choice to use the short orders of prayer for Morning, Noon, Early Evening and Close of the Day. It is only $8.99 and offers what is truly the finest and most comprehensive daily prayer app available. Android users can rejoice, for by this Fall we will have the Android version of PrayNow available.

Do you have plans for a kindle version?

No, PrayNow is an application written specifically for the iOS mobile operating system, as will the Android version, that is, it is being prepared for the Android mobile operating system. This is not something that would be able to work on a Kindle.

We do however have the Treasury of Daily Prayer in Kindle format. PrayNow is basically an “app” version of the Treasury.

I have had and enjoyed the Pray Now ap for my ipod touch for several months. I can’t seem to find a way to update it however. Can this latest update be gotten through iTunes? Thanks.

On your Apple device, start up the “App Store” app and look at the “update” button, which will display how many of your apps have updates available. Click on “update all” enter your iTunes password and the updates will automatically download. Best to do it over a WiFi network, since that will usually be a lot faster than a 3G or other cellular data service connection, etc.
