Taking a Blogcation

I’ve found lately that I’ve managed to do to myself, what no doubt I’ve done to so many of you for a long time: bore you. I have grown bored recently with my own blog site! So, I’m going to take a break from blogging for a while. I’m sure I’ll be back, but I don’t like feeling like I “have” to blog. I always have said this is a hobby, and I’m beginning to feel like it is a chore and even a tad of a drudgery. So, I need to shake those feelings and when I do, I’ll be back to blogging. How long? I don’t honestly know. But….thanks for reading and for your support. I’ll keep posting for feasts and festivals and commemorations, but … I need a break from coming up with other content. I’m sure I’ll be back in a few weeks, maybe sooner.

We all have to take a break sometime. It is good not to let blogging become a part-time job. Enjoy your break and I look forward to what you bring after a good rest.

Bore? Nay, this site is a blessing. Rest if you must. I suspect your taking time off to work on your dance moves.

It took me forever to find a blog as wonderful as this one! Please return. May God grant you peace and rejuvenation. Take heart!

To say your posts will be missed is indeed an understatement. Often wonder how you did it all with such thoughtful and complete posts on what it means to be a solid Lutheran. It surely had to be a labor of love. Yes a love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I need to express my thanks for the help in discussing these principles of Lutheranism with my family and especially my Daughter in law. May the Lord grant you a well deserved rest. Anytime you feel moved to post an occasional thought would be most appreciated. Thanks again for your effort.

Pastor McCain – enjoy your Sabbath rest; well done as a good and faithful servant. After the proscribed time of meditatio in the Word accompanied with selections from Bach, may you return refreshed and renewed in spirit and mind.
    Pax,
    Dennis

Why is it that every time I find a new and interesting blog to read, the author decides to take a sabbatical? I’m beginning to take it personally. Still, I’ll be waiting for your return and wish you well during your blogcation.

It’s not like we don’t butt heads once in a while, but this blog is among the very best there is, I check it every day, and I very much appreciate the voice for confessional Lutheranism that it is, and hope that voice returns better than ever.

Take a drive! The Great lakes are cool right about now. I can set you up at a range with some of my cops to shoot or I can get you to some fine area Micro-brews (but no and). You are always welcome.

Will miss you, Pastor McCain :(

Look forward to your return, Gottes Segen!
