When is this expected to be published? Is there a way to get on an advanced “notice” list?
I would like to read one of these when they become available…
God willing, it will be available Fall 2012, stay tuned to this blog site, I will post more info as it becomes available, thank you for your enthusiasm!!
If you need a free proof read I’d be glad to pore through such a timely publication. Should only take about 3 months if the commentaries are as thorough as they are with the Lutheran Study Bible. If you don’t need a reader sign me up for one as soon as they are ready.
As a Lutheran Pastor who has spent zero time in the Apocrypha (save for the occasional reading from Tobit when attending a RC wedding, or from Sirach when a college friend was baptized at Easter Vigil), are their any directed textual/exegetical studies in the works to help bring pastors “up to speed” before interacting at the congregational level with this text?
OK, I will amend my previous comment – the antiphon for one of the Christmas services (“When all was calm and midnight…”) also comes from Sirach, and the “Benedicite Omnia Opera” is from the additional portions of Daniel, but I’ve spent zero time studying the text.
Any word on when this will be available?
Wow – long vacation, Pastor McCain!
Beautifully designed cover! It goes well with the The Lutheran Study Bible side by side.
That was a short Blogcation!! Did you get withdrawal twitches?
What is the estimated release date for the Apocrypha?
I am looking forward to getting my hands on that

Any particular reason the subtitle was written as it was instead of something more consistent w/ LSB such as “The Lutheran Study Edition?”
What does the palm leaf on the cover symbolize ?

Glad the project is advancing.

The forthcoming new volume will really be helpful to you, Michael.
