The negative reactions of people to this video are astounding and enlightening. Not the ones claiming about the iPod references, but the ones denying that this man is really even alive.

Ask yourself: Who would be angry at seeing the reaction of this man to the music of his youth? Answer: Those who are dead set on relegating life to a series of biochemical reactions, and who thus measure the value of human life in terms of productivity, whether physical or intellectual.

Even though it is clear to anyone watching this video that this nearly-catatonic man is indeed “Alive Inside”, this observation contradicts the world view of scientism which would gladly have executed a man such as this because he is supposedly just a human vegetable wasting the resources of society.

The denial of the human soul is an essential plank of scientism, and where scientism prevails, eugenics and euthanasia always follow.

I really appreciated this video. I thought it amazing that music had such an effect on the man. It truly moved his soul. I then thought about the scientist who commented throughout the video. I don’t know the intimate details of the scientist’s life but if we were to go off the video alone, it would seem that we see the old man in a much more “alive” state than the scientist because we see him fully experiencing that which does move his soul whereas the scientist is only an observer. How sad it would be to go through this life only ever observing beauty and never experiencing it to the point that it moves our soul to the Good.
