Wish I could agree but I love my Marlin model 60 way too much. Best 22 on the market at least I think so. 11 million produced & counting and built right here in the great old USA

No I don’t think it is America’s favorite. I am not too sure you can really say a favorite for America. Bird hunters have their favorites in shotguns, elk hunters have a number of favorites etc. etc.

I have to agree with CW, the Marlin model 60 is a great rifle. I really love the tube feed on it and that it is made in the USA is a big factor in choosing this rifle. Great sights on it and very accurate. Nothing not to love!

I love my Ruger 10/22. I have the same stock but w/a blued barrel. My two oldest have learned to shoot on it. When I was younger I took a lot of squirrels and rabbits with this rifle. My best shooting was from about 40-50 yards out offhand. Came upon three rabbits enjoying a drink by a stream. I was able to bag all three thanks to the accuracy of the rifle and the smooth feed of the stock 10rd magazine.

I find a good sling helps me site quickly and avoid gripping the fore-stock, this gun is so accurate I’ve never felt a need to modify the sites.
