And to answer questions: Yes, we are working with LOGOS to have these out in that format. Maybe on other digital formats. No, I have no information beyond these volumes and dates. No, we can not put them out any faster! There is presently NO major NT commentary underway that has published two volumes a year for ten years in a row, just FYI. No, we can not bundle LOGOS plus print editions. No, there are no discounts available for LOGOS based resources beyond what LOGOS will extend
No, we are not releasing a comic book edition of any of these volumes or a graphic novel edition of any of them. No movie or video or video game versions either.
And, finally, no, I’m not going to come over and read these to you as bedtime stories.
Any other questions?
: )

Thank-you for working on these. These volumes are a treasure to the church and indispensable for pastoral ministry. The Gospel editions are especially useful for preaching.
It is about time we got to Romans, perhaps the most important book of the Bible for Lutherans! I lead a small group and as we are now studying Romans have to relay on Reformed commentaries and the notes of the LSB. Looking forward to this commentary.
You do realize Martin Luther wrote a commentary on Romans, right?
I am also happy to see that you are working on the digital editions as well. Keep up the good work. Believe or not, many lay Lutherans need these works as well.
I am very much enjoying reading the Introduction to my lastest volume, 1-3 John.
I am wondering why v. 3 of Matthew (v. 2 was released in 2010) does not appear on the upcoming releases list above. Is it a marketing ploy to release beginning volumes on many books without completing them? I had hoped that the Matthew commentary set would be complete by the time “Series C” started again.
Good grief, Tony.
@ptmccain
You might think I’m making a jerk of myself, but I would like a straight answer to my complaint. Why aren’t book projects (i.e. “Matthew”) completed more quickly? Why must there be 6 years between volumes?
Here’s the answer:
Because it is illegal to take authors hostage and hold them against their will and only release them after they have finished writing their tomes.
@ptmccain
Thank you for the straight answer, Paul. Please forgive my impatience. An editor can only edit text he has in hand.
I’ll start adding some of the authors to my prayers, that God give them good health, sharp minds, and many golden years before He would see fit to call them home.
But, kidnapping may be a good option, if all else fails.
