This sermon was delivered by President Robert Bugbee of the Lutheran Church—Canada at the service of installation of officers and others elected by the convention of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. It is simply a superb example of what a Lutheran sermon is all about.

“Under the cross – is the place to be…” – what a wonderful proclamation of the Gospel!

Thanks for posting this sermon. I think that MORE of our people need to hear this sort
of proclamation of the Good News – and hearing it, begin to realize the depths of exactly
WHAT the “theology of the cross” means to those who profess to follow Jesus as Lord.
Yes, “under the cross IS the place to be.” May we ALL look up to the cross as our hope
and strength for life in this world and life in the world to come.

Peace be with you – Pastor McCain!
(Look forward to seeing you soon – at Redeemer in Pensacola!)
    Pastor Christopher Cole
